Job Purpose:
Maintains the flow of water, air, and other gases, and drainage by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Commercial and residential jobbing.
Â
* Produces plumbing systems by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
* Cuts, threads, and bends pipe by using cutters, cutting torch, threading machine, and bending machine.
* Installs plumbing systems by assembling, positioning, and sealing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
* Tests plumbing systems by filling system with water or gas; identifying leaks.
* Repairs and maintains plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes; opening clogged drains.
* Complies with building and plumbing codes .

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
