Vice President of Housing and Development

 

Thriving Community Development Corporation seeks a  Vice President of  Housing and Development . We seek to recruit a top quality executive, to drive  the  formulation and execution of  the  corporations   growth strategy in emerging markets with a specific focus on  Housing,  both new  and redeveloped  within the  tri state area and  nationally .
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual will work closely with executives in  the  various operating divisions .

This individual will be expected to identify optimal strategies to grow  business inemerging housing  markets, including the critical re-assessment existing plans.

The role requires superior strategic, business development, analytics and,  housing transaction experience.,

The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels, of local  government housing divsions ,governmental  planning boards, and  political intrests .  Must have the ability to  become  an  effective  liaison with  strategic partner companies, and demonstrate good judgment in dealing with potentially sensitive issues..



 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  Drive the development of corporate development strategy for  the  housing  business.

  Analyze and conclude in practical terms the development of division-specific growth plans.

  Develop financial models to support strategy and negotiations.

  Establish strong relationships and exercise reliable good judgment with critical internal and external clients, partners, customers, etc.

The  requirements:

   Proven track record in housing transactions  experience and housing  development  

   Five to Ten years  in the housing development  businesses

  Strong analytics, financial modeling skills

  Experience with L.I.S..K..

  Proven track record of experience with NYC Housing Authorities -  H.P.D.  H.D.C.  and H.P.D.

  Proven track record  of collaboration with architects and familiarity with  architectural  design.

  Equity Managemtgent experience..

  Approximately 3-5 years of post-MBA work experience.

  MBA from a leading business school preferred but not required if experience or other degrees are a reasonable substitute.

  Individual must possess high energy, dedication, and passion.

  Individual must be a self starter with minimal need for direction.
