Treasurer

 

 

Real Estate developer / homebuilder is seeking a Tier 1 Treasurer from class A company.

The treasurer manages the Company’s finance department which includes managing cash, liquidity, debt, risks and the establishment and maintenance of accounts at commercial banks and other financial institutions. The treasurer also reviews expenditures, signs checks and wire transfers, executes buy and sell orders for money market and other equity investments. Cash and liquidity management will include monitoring cash balances and cash flows, cash planning and forecasting. Debt management will include determining optimum debt levels and structures. Risk management will include maintenance of proper insurance coverage and maintenance of the Company  risk assessment and mitigation program. The treasurer may participate in other finance related matters such as execution of sale and lease back arrangements, assessing investments, and providing treasury reports. The treasurer will report directly to the CEO, and will work closely with the CFO and the controller. The treasurer will demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills and will be familiar with PC spreadsheet and word processing software

 

Responsibilities: Oversee cash management activities. Manage external investment managers and monitor performance. Direct risk management function. Manage corporate bank accounts and banking relationships. Create and maintain treasury policies and procedures. Implement and improve treasury systems and programs. Direct financing activities. Oversee Treasury compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Mandatory

Job Requirements

Skills: Advanced skills in Excel, along with a working understanding of Treasury operations. Superior business and analytical skills, as well as the ability to focus on key issues and solve problems. Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels. Ability to provide strategic direction to Finance Department and work independently and proactively without mentoring.


Preferred Skills: Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Education: Degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred. Experience: 5-10 years of finance and treasury experience at the director level in a global environment. Experience managing accounts with revenues in the $500 million-$1 billion range.
