Sales Counselor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBThis position will manage our business by creatively prospecting, building relationships, selling, and delivering memorable buying experiences to our customers to achieve community success in sales and developing customer loyalty. Individuals in this position will create lasting relationships and foster the ability to grow and achieve personal and community goals as well as the company quality growth strategy. The most important deliverables of the role include 1) selling and closing Centex products and services, 2) creating the ultimate customer experience, 3) maintaining community management, and 4) function as a high performing team player and adapt to change. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1) To sell and close Centex products and services, the Sales Representative is expected to a) self-prospect, b) manage referrals, c) cooperate with realtors, d) access the internet, and e) manage walk-in traffic.2) To create the ultimate customer experience, the Sales Representative is expected to a) educate all customers on the home buying process, b) communicate, align, and reset customer expectations, c) build and maintain trusting relationships, and d) develop customer loyalty.3) To maintain community management, the Sales Representative is expected to a) managing backlog, b) collaborate with neighborhood support teams, c) follow up on model operation and maintenance, and d) participate in community signage.4) To function as a high performing team player and adapt to change, the Sales Representative is expected to a) communicate and coordinate with team members on a regular basis, b) protect company assets and interests, and c) mentor and develop talent To achieve these responsibilities the Sales Counselor must be proficient at displaying the following behaviors.  Obtain commitments and get decisions. Plan and organize business generating and growth activities. Continue to self educate and grow. Maintain timely communications with customers and team members. Develop and execute personal and neighborhood business plans. Anticipate and solve problems, and follow through in a timely manner.  ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:·         Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.·         Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:·         making suggestions for improvement·         learning new skills, procedures and processes.·         Remains current in skills and industry trends.·         Understands and responsibly performs duties with attention to quality, safety and environmental matters. ·         Is available for other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Compensation 100% commission. Valid Washington and/or Oregon Realtors License.  OTHER SKILLS ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS:·         Computer skills:·         Ability to use software programs including word processing and mathematical applications and customize them for business purposes.·         Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.·         Excellent written and oral presentation skills.·         Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.·         Good listener with an ability to persuade.·         Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.·         Handle multiple projects, maintaining attention to detail without a loss of production.·         Must be a strategic thinker who will be viewed as a business partner with other key members of the management team.·         Highly organized and disciplined individual with a high energy level.·         Possesses unquestioned integrity, ethical behavior, a quick mind and a practical approach to business management. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.·         The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. ·         The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
