SHOPPING CENTER CONSTRUCTION / PROPERTY MANAGER

 

An established Dedham based shopping center developer has an immediate opening for a Shopping Center Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of retail real estate properties in the greater Boston area.

 

Responsibilities include: Oversee ongoing property management, contractor, tenant and lease related issues, including troubleshooting any issues which arise along with company’s other property managers. Making regular inspections of properties (all within 70 miles of Boston). Responding to emergency and urgent property issues Manage a wide variety of Company’s construction activities Create and maintain positive relationships with Company’s national and regional tenants, vendors and contractors. Show vacant space to prospective tenants and respond to questions regarding including tenant improvements Coordinate tenant improvement jobs with tenants and contractors Conduct move-in and move-out inspections. Reviewing contractor invoices.

 

Requisite job skills include:

  Familiarity with property management (minimum 4-6 years of property management or construction experience). Extensive experience in building maintenance and construction (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, electrical, site work, alarm systems, etc.). The ability to efficiently prioritize while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Customer service, problem analysis, independent judgment/action. General computer skills (Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products). Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel (regionally – no overnight trips).

 

Job Conditions: This position may require overtime on occasion and the ability to respond to property alarms or emergencies.
