Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) is a $2.6 billion business that installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. HBS specializes in service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.
Position Summary:
Technical resource to the selling and operations teams responsible for identifying mechanical and energy related problems within a customer's facility, taking that site evaluation and developing comprehensive, cost-effective technical solutions that increase the operational efficiency of the site.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Profitable growth of the business unit by understanding the vertical market opportunities and recommending an approach to the comprehensive technical services offering that will increase market share, exceed customers' expectations and provide HBS SES with a competitive advantage.Has an expert technical understanding of energy and plant/facility operations within the vertical markets (hospitals, universities, state agencies, industrials, government and commercial buildings) and establishes a high level of confidence in HBS SES' technical competency through ongoing customer and third party partnerships.Understands the feasibility of the project and recommends course of action, including assessment of opportunity and risk areas.Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within the facility and uses the information to develop and design a comprehensive technical offering that may utilize Honeywell's systems/services portfolio and which results in guaranteed long term operating efficiency and costs and savings to the customer.Creates and analyzes detailed models of pre- and post-retrofit energy use for each viable energy conservation measure using consumption data gathered first-hand through field measurements or data-loggers, or through existing EMS trends.Works closely with sales and operations teams and consulting engineers in developing the technical and financial components of the job to include accurate cost estimates, savings and labor requirements.Determines appropriate level of energy guarantee and assesses the risk of each new project.Utilizes necessary measurements to demonstrate that energy and operating commitments are met.Contributes in final presentation by leading technical discussion of the offering and responding to questions by customer facility experts.Works closely with subcontractors and consultants to ensure the quality of work is consistent with requirements.Contributes as ongoing technical resource to the customer, and provides advice/counsel on areas where the customer could improve their operations.Works closely with operations team in the delivery of the contracted projects, resolving design deficiencies and ensuring the energy saving components are achieved.Troubleshoots problems that may arise after project completion in meeting the energy guarantee. Identifies reasons for guarantee failures and/or develops necessary solutions.

Basis Qualifications (mandatory):
Education: Degree in related technical field; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
Experience in the following areas: Commercial and institutional energy engineering, utility cost analysis, facilities management and cycle cost analysis
Project development and energy conservation program implementation
Project management, estimating and project documentation
Design of mechanical heating and cooling systems; central cooling plant, distributed generation,
Operational analysis of mechanical and electrical systems with buildings
Additional Qualifiactions (pluses):
CHP power and renewable design experience a plusEngineer license preferredEnergy Manager preferredPMP Accreditation preferred
