Company Description: Opportunity with a young, aggressively growing, national construction company based in Franklin, Indiana that is focused on commercial interior tenant build-outs. This company currently has clients in over 25 national markets and is expanding rapidly.
Position: On-site Superintendent
Position Description: Individual will coordinate everyday task involved in construction process. Such task may include but not limited to; Scheduling and management of sub-contractors, implementing and understanding project administration requirements, creating and updating projects schedules, meet or exceed construction schedules, quality control management of project, control and scheduling of all field inspections and verification that project work complies with contract documents. Individual should also be able to complete construction tasks so that if assistance is needed by others on the job site or finishing tasks are needed by employer, individual would be able to complete task. Individual will also need to be able to manage the estimating, negotiating of contracts, and purchasing for small projects within tenant build-outs.
Requirements for Position: Company seeks competent, self-motivated individual that excels in problem solving and communication skills and is well versed in commercial construction applications. This position will require traveling. It is preferred that individual has completed bachelors degree in building construction management or other related construction major, or have adequate field experience. Individual must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as civil, architectural and mechanical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Individual must be computer literate and competent in Internet software and Microsoft Excel and Word.
