Office Assistant
A mid-size construction company located in Richmond, VA is looking for an experience Receptionist/Office Assistant. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience working within a construction office environment.General responsiblities are as follows: Front Desk: Answer phones and greet visitors Open, date stamp and distribute mail. Faxes retrieved, copied and distributed accordingly. Generate transmittals/labels/postage for outgoing items/mailings & overnights. Keep office supplies stocked. Research best deals!!!! This includes copy room, bathrooms, kitchen and coffee area. Check weekly cleaning on Monday mornings for quality. Collect payroll and expenses on Monday mornings, give to management for review. Project Manager Assistance: Assist project managers with any tasks delegated to you. Generate permit applications, permit packs for the field and track permits. Permits status should be checked twice a week. Update the project manager on status. Send out submittals with appropriate copies, create and maintain submittal log. Submittal logs should be checked weekly. Update the project manager on status. Gather as-built information from subcontractors as needed. This is a full-time position offering a friendly yet professional work environment. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel as well.
