Leather accessories manufacturer located in Melville, NY is looking for an experienced mechanic to support and maintain sewing & cutting machines and other manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include set up, repair and adjust equipment and machines, work with management to resolve issues and to ensure the factory is operating at peak efficiency levels, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues quickly, practice proper skilled techniques to assure the safe & efficient operation of all assigned machinery, maintain equipment parts and supplies inventory and facility maintenance. Requirements

Possess a minimum of 1-5 years experience repairing & maintaining machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with electric, pneumatics and electronics. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience. Strong interpersonal skills & high energy level. Facility maintenance. Must be able to lift 25lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekend and holiday requirements.
