Within Specialty Materials is the Fluorine Products SBU, a world leader in fluorine technology including non-ozone depleting refrigerants and blowing agents, specialty gases, BF3 for synthetic oil, SF6 for circuit breakers and UF6 for nuclear fuel. The Marketing Manager position will be responsible for driving closed cell spray foam insulation (SPF) business expansion in both residential and commercial construction through building science research, technical training programs for value chain participants, awareness/education, strategic marketing, and policy/code efforts.
Key responsibilities:
Provide technical marketing support to strategic marcom/industry education efforts- Proactively support/drive end market education/marketing campaign
- Lead Foam business expansion primarily in residential and light commercial construction with top builders, architects, national accounts
- Drive SPF adoption with large insulation contractors
Address regulatory, code, and insurance related growth opportunities
- Drive building science research programs to support regulatory proposals
- Identify and address master and local code-related barriers to SPF adoption, serve as business' liaison to HON Government Relations
- Participation in key industry committees and groups
Provide recommendations and support for accelerated business expansion
- How HON should interact with contractors (brand, ads, programs, etc.)
- Open-cell vs. closed-cell value selling
- M&A segments and targets
- Service models
- Moves into adjacent spaces
Travel up to 50% primarily within the US.
Ten plus years experience marketing, technical sales, or strategy for building science, insulation or other building enclosure materials sold to large production builders (e.g., Pulte, KB, DR Horton, Lennar, Centex, Toll Bros., etc.), national insulation contractors (e.g., MASCO, USI), or direct to end users (building owners).

Ability to understand and apply building science principlesStrong familiarity with code requirements and processesStrong technical backgroundAbility/willingness to travel up to 50% as neededDesired experience: The ideal candidate will come from one of the following backgrounds: Building Envelope Materials providers: Owens-Corning, DuPont Tyvek, Dow, JM, CertainTeed, etc…Building Science Consulting: Building Science Corporation, RDH Group, Universities (Syracuse, Waterloo etc..) or certified professionals from HERS, ABAA, EEBA or WUFI
