Position Description:

Gilbane, the nation's fifth-largest construction manager is accepting resumes for a Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Estimator to work in our Southwest Regional Office.Profile: The MEP Estimator is responsible for generating all estimating deliverables required for the Southwest Region.Experience: Minimum of 10 years estimating or design experience on projects having estimated costs ranging from $100,000 to $30,000,000. Estimating experience from conceptual thru construction document phases required. Some knowledge of Timberline software, Microsoft Excel and Word preferable.Responsibilities: Office responsibilities include, but are not limited to: generating estimating deliverables, ability to develop accurate conceptual cost models, understanding construction methods, productivity, equipment, systems and materials, tracking current material and labor pricing including escalation, maintain relationships with subcontractors and material vendors, make meaningful value engineering contributions, ability to reconcile estimates with other consultants and design team, generating sound documentation for scope of work assumed in estimates, maintaining a well organized approach and disciplined work ethic, flexibility with assisting other disciplines beyond mechanical responsibilities.Education Requirement: The successful candidate should have sufficient work related experience in MEP contracting or Design.
