Lead Installer Position - Window Treatments

Installation/Maintenance/Repair Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Relevant Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Contact: Apply by Email Lead Installer Position - Window Treatments Our client, a locally-owned successful specialty window treatment business, is seeking a Lead Installer! Successful candidates will be comfortable installing blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies in customers’ homes, offices and on large commercial projects. Dependability, neat work habits, great customer relations skills, a problem solving attitude and a clean driving record are required. The job can bring a lot of satisfaction as it involves adding beauty to our customers’ homes, is inside work, and usually involves light loads. Much of the work is done on ladders over your head and some large shades can be heavy so you must be capable of lifting 60 lbs on occasion. This is a permanent position with our client. A generous benefits package and paid time off is also offered.Working Hours: M-F Salary Range: Commensurate with experience / paid hourlyImportant attributes include: Carpenter like technical skills – installing shades can be like rough carpentry work on large projects but more like finish carpentry when installing drapes in a home. Experience in a supervisory position Accuracy with measurements and determining finish height etc. Most of the work is done with a battery driven drill. Problem solving abilities; Most jobs have some issue that needs to be dealt with on the job. Ability to relate well to our retail customers and to our designers – both of whom can be particular. Friendly, calm, personable and able to communicate effectively. A clean, orderly well organized work habit. Clean driving record and valid driver's license. Organize, direct and be a leader to the rest of the team. Willing to do some occasional travel – 99% day travel but the odd time it is over night. Most of the work is within 50 miles of Burlington. You are compensated while traveling from the factory to the work site. Manage the installation team which can number from 3 to 5. Internet proficiency with ability to schedule, communicate via email, and research product information / installation instructions on line.
