We have an immediate need for a Lead 3D CAD Designer at our Fullerton, CA Regional Office.

 Responsibilities: 

Ø  Create and design for custom made-to-order requirements, using computer-aided design.

Ø  Develop accurate layouts, assembly drawings, details and bills of materials.

Ø  Review engineering drawings prior to the release to groups/jobs.

Ø  Provide direction to technical personnel such as CAD operators.

Ø  Estimate engineering time required to modify designs of existing jobs.

Ø  Prepare plans and layouts for equipment or system arrangements and space allocation.

Ø  Take direction from Sr. engineers and/or group Presidents and Executives to research drawings, catalogs, sketches, etc., to develop detailed dimensioned AutoCAD drawings.

Ø  Perform detailed mechanical design and documentation work.  Preferred Job Requirements:

 

Ø  Minimum of 5 years CAD Drafting for commercial buildings, CAD Group leadership experience required.

Ø  Electrican background a plus.

Ø  2007 Building Systems or 2008 MEP software experience required.

Ø  Must know AutoCad 2000/2007, 3D experience required.

Ø  Solid knowledge of independent power & lighting design.

Ø  Working knowledge of NEC and local energy codes.

Ø  Electrical design or construction background is REQUIRED.
