LARGE NYC CONSTRUCTION CO SEEKING ASST PROJECT MANAGER

Large general contractor specializing in ground-up residential construction is seeking a dynamic Assistant Project Manager to work within a seasoned project management team.

 

This job will require you to handle all facets of project management administration, including:

 

-       Provide accurate and thorough support for the range of Project Manager activities throughout all phases of construction.

-       Assist in creating and managing reports, invoices, requisitions, logs and meeting minutes 

-       Track change orders, shop drawings, requests for information and permits. 

-       Gather information, prepare and review paperwork for submissions, follow up on paperwork/plans.

-       Track jobs on various Building Department Web sites.

-       Prepare fax sheets for Expediters, schedule appointments with Examiners, distribute approval packages, maintain the to-do list, initiate invoicing and provide information to and follow up with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.

 

 To qualify, you will need communication, problem-solving, organizational, project management and computer skills (especially with MS Office.  Knowledge of Project Management software such as Primavera Expedition a plus.). You must have strong initiative, a desire to learn and a willingness to take direction.  Experience in construction or its industry is preferred but not mandatory.
