Position Description:

 

The Job Captain/Production Manager works side by side with the Director of Architectural Services and/or Project Management team as their conduit to the production staff. The position requires management skills, production know how and a sense of ownership and responsibility for all of the products that are produced by the department.

 Create Client Specific Drawing templates.Maintain and Implement Client StandardsImplement  and manage QA processResource assignmentsDirect oversight of Draftsmen and SurveyorsWork in Conjunction with Project Manager to meet scheduled deliverables.Attend all client based training.Training of draftsman and surveyorsExecution of CAD / Revit test for potential new employees

 

Requirements:

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises assignments of individual projects and tasks to staff of draftsmen, site surveyors and permit expeditors.Production of Construction Documents and other deliverables.Provide technical training as required.

 

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 3 years experience in Architectural/Pre Construction Services.Minimum of 2 years Project Management experienceLead Draftsman Background preferred.Site Survey and Development experience preferredExperience with permit expediting and architectural planning preferred  Associates degree or certificate from CAD Training tech school

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced computer skills, Microsoft Excel.  Microsoft ProjectAutoCAD Experience a must, version 2004 and higherRevit experience a mustProven ability to produce construction documents.
