Human Resource Manager

We provide general contracting, at-risk construction management, design-build and turnkey services. Previously the commercial construction division of Dallas-based Centex Corporation, we were acquired by Balfour Beatty in March 2007. We employ 1,400+ professionals and are a top 10 U.S. builder.We remain focused on building strong business partnerships through local relationships and quality service. In addition to our headquarters locations, we maintain 11 additional offices across the U.S., dedicated to delivering on its current backlog of over $5.6 billion. Reporting to the Vice President of HR, this position functions as a HR business partner and provides leadership for a broad range of strategic and tactical talent management initiatives ensuring hiring, training, retention and development of employees. This position will have 3 direct reports: 2 administrative employees and an HR Generalist. Essential Functions: Manage the professional recruiting program which includes hands-on recruiting as well. Co-manage our company's training program. Related duties include assisting SMEs in the development of new curriculum, facilitating behavioral training classes and overall training coordination. Manage the overall campus recruiting process. Coach/counsel managers and employees on performance and career issues and opportunities. Manage employee relations activities including investigation, documentation and resolution. Assist the VP of HR on a variety of special projects. Lead the onboarding of employees, as well as the exit process. **Please submit your salary requirements when you apply your resume to this position** Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic individual with 8-10 years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on recruiting and training with at least 2 of those years in a management role. Computer literacy in Word, Excel and Powerpoint required. JD Edwards experience preferred.
