HR/Payroll Services Analyst

HR/Payroll Services Analyst Summary: The HR/Payroll Services Analyst is a key member of the Human Resources/Payroll Services department and reports to the Payroll Manager. The HR/Payroll Services Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of payroll transactions and investigation of issues escalated to management. The position ensures timely and accurate processing of HR/Payroll related transactions, coordinating various processes and providing support by reviewing business unit and employee level changes submitted to the HR/Payroll department. Other primary functions will be loading files and interfaces, generating reports, as well as acting as the team lead for all payroll tax and wage attachment transactions Essential Job Functions: Ensure integrity of system data by auditing incoming documents against data entry Work with vendors and ensure all incoming/outgoing feeds are timely and accurate Sustain high customer service satisfaction levels for both internal and external customers Work with service providers to ensure accuracy of system setup Encourage and promote ideas to improve payroll processing and controls Assist in establishing and documenting department procedures Monitor outstanding checks and handle according to escheat policies Create and run reports utilizing Report Smith or other reporting tools Analyze and make recommendations for departmental metrics Train as backup for maintenance in ADP Enterprise and Kronos Work with team to develop audits/controls for proper tax set up Ensure proper setup, payment and response to all incoming wage attachments Prepare quarterly tax reconciliations (federal, state and local) and ensure balancing for all companies Coordinate and oversee the entire year end W2 process to ensure accurate and timely reporting with payroll vendor
Qualifications: A minimum 5 years of payroll experience Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience CPP certification preferred Experience in a large multiple organization (FEIN) company, multi state and union environment Extensive experience with garnishments, payroll tax and unions Good working knowledge of payroll laws Experience with ADP (Enterprise) or PeopleSoft, ADP Report Smith and Kronos preferred Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word Experience with SOX controls and auditsJob Code : 248 Division/Department : OFRC Travel Required : None
