General Manager Installation/Service Department (Redmond)

Responsible for running crew in the Installation and Service Department; Responsible for staffing, training, and managing the employees in the department; Responsible for scheduling Installation and Service appointments or directing an assistant to do so; Understanding safety procedures and being able to safely operate power tools; Go to a jobsite or home for a critical measure on any orders with Installation; Collecting money on the jobsite and communication with homeowners; Responsible for keeping track of tools & supplies of the department; Responsible for purchasing and maintaining company vehicles; Leads toolbox meetings and making sure crew is up on CPR / First Aid requirements; Responsible for all materials in Installation except product; for example, trim, flashing, and sealant; Responsible for the Budget and Profitability of Installation and Service Department; Keeping current on building codes & requirements; Adhere to all company policies and procedures; Maintain consistent level of professionalism while representing company Keep business owners informed of progress and activities as they determine; Able to maintain a good working relationship with all employees and customers through on going interaction; Other Duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  Knowledge of Installation of wood & vinyl windows, doors, and gliders from a variety of manufacturers; Experience in finish carpentry with an emphasis on millwork and trim; Solid understanding of installation techniques and practices; Knowledge of installation in an extensive range of wood & vinyl windows, doors, and gliders from a variety of manufacturers; Exceptional customer service and team leadership skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills using English language; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to use basic algebra and geometry skills; Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; Detail oriented and excellent time management skills; Minimum 5 years management experience
