About the Position
We are in search of experienced fire alarm installation and service technicians to join our growing Construction & Service Departments. We are seeking energetic people with fire alarm systems knowledge and a basic electronics background. Although we sell and service only Notifier fire alarm systems, Notifier systems knowledge is not required. We will provide all necessary technical training for these positions. The most important qualities we are seeking are the ability to be a "team player" and to be very dependable. Since we often service secure government facilities, a clean driving and criminal record is required in order for you to obtain the necessary security clearances. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are also required.
These position involves working independently to final connect, program, service and repair fire alarm systems that are currently in operation in all sizes and types of commercial and governmental facilities in the Washington, DC area. This position is physically demanding in the sense that some buildings are physically large in size, which requires a lot of walking, climbing ladders and carrying medium weight objects (such as ladders, tools, etc.).
QualificationsNICET Certification and Notifier brand knowledge are desired but not required - all necessary training will be providedOur ideal candidate should be energetic and very responsibleBasic electronics background in low voltage systems and basic computer skills requiredAbility to work independently to final connect and program or service fire alarm panels requiredAbility to create meticulously detailed field reportsA clean driving record is mandatory - this position requires the technician to use a company truckExcellent communications and interpersonal skills are requiredFire alarm experience is encouraged - all though we are a Notifier distributor, applicants with competitive brand knowledge are encouraged to apply
