Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Deficiency Specialist in our Hauppauge, NY location. Job Responsibilities: This position is responsible for managing the coordination of large scale projects for specific product line segments throughout the Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression and Security Products organization. Work cross-functionally with all disciplines within the organization for successful implementation of products from conception through launch.  Instrumental in the development of product focus groups and industry networks to obtain genuine voice as it relates to specific product and industry trends.  Viewed both by internal and external organizations as the industry expert in field of responsibility.  Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.  Provides product initiatives to drive strategic planning process Provides technical expertise to other departments in support of product knowledge and development Coordinates labor and materials, deliveries, pursue change orders and supply close out documentation Champions the internal business systems to maintain accurate statuses and progress on all projects Has the ability to project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace Adheres to established timelines and pushes self and others for results Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market Participates in customer situations to provide product knowledge and sales support Participate in job meetings Manages day to day progress of assigned product(s) All additional duties and tasks assigned Position Requirements:  Bachelor‘s degree in a technical field, marketing, business or technology from an accredited college university. Minimum of 6 - 10 years project management experience Ability to multi-task large scale projects across all cross-functional disciplines within the organization Ability to rationalize financial business projects Ability to look beyond the obvious and continue to probe for straightforward customer requirements Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to manage direct reports as required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Power Point, and Excel software Ability to travel between 25% - 35% of the time.
