Entry Level Drafter

 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales and Engineering this position provides estimates and administrative support for the Estimating Department. Responsibilities include typing, filing, scheduling, and coordination of meetings, obtaining pricing, and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares routing drafting projects – preparations of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches.

  Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting

  Consults with engineers regarding model accuracy, design and drafting standards

  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field

  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job





QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS 0-2 years of experience in the field or related field

  Works under supervision

  Reports to a supervisor or manager

  Computer literate in CAD and Microsoft Office
