The Project Manager is responsible for the overall administration, organization and implementation of small electrical construction projects or parts of larger more complex projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting the project Superintendent in the preparation of project documentation requirements, project layout, field office support, and developing a project schedule utilizing the Critical Path Method. Reading and interpretting blue prints and project specifications. Working with the project Superintendent to develop a budget and cost codes for a project and assigning costs and manpower to the schedule. Researching and compiling submittals; pricing change orders and preparing estimates for partially designed projects by finishing the design and preparing a complete project estimate. Meeting with potential customers to present proposals. Understanding and following bid procedures and bid forms. Conferring with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.Required Skills

Requirements: At least 5 years of experience working as a project manager in the electrical industry. B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related degree. A stable work history. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources. Effectively communicating verbally and in writing with others. Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish your work. Communicating with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives. Experience reading blueprints. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical industry. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources. Understanding the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various projects. Familiarity with the NEC. Experience working with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications and change orders. Knowledge of major vendors for at least three (3) of the following systems: lighting, switchgear, generators, UPS, controls, fire alarm, video, and security.Qualified candidates should apply online with resume and salary requirements to:M.C.
