Responsible for the accounting operations of a high-growthcompany in Hidalgo County, TXwith multiple segments involving farmland operations, real estate development,home building/construction, residential home sales, and R.V. resort operations.

Job summary: Prepares financial statements, business unit operating statements, andfinancial analysis for operations and for management. The Controller isresponsible for the company’s accounting practices and internal controls,operational relationships with lending institutions, safeguarding of companyassets, maintenance of its accounting and financial records, and budgeting. Responsibilities also include humanrelations, administration, payroll, tax reporting and regulatory filings,insurance, and contract management. Thesuccessful candidate will have demonstrated solo capability and accomplishmentin building and operating a successful accounting operation.
Experience Required:
Accounting degree or C.P.A.
3-5 years accounting practice/operations experience
2-3 years controller level experience
Construction accounting experience
Growth company experience
Comprehensive Quickbooks experience – multi-unit, enterpriseversions a plus
Hands-on, solo accounting/bookkeeping experience
Reports to Chief Financial Officer
