CAD Drafter

The CAD Drafter is responsible for Coordinating engineering designs on new and existing plans: frame, foundation, floor systems, HVAC and plumbing, Coordinating with the Land Division to confirm receipt of plat, soils, grading and all other information necessary to start a new development and reviewing new designs and coordinating with the Product Development Manager, Engineer, etc. They will perform home site fit confirmations on all new home panels and / or new developments and track all plan revisions to and from the Architect and / or Engineer.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Complete redline revisions to plansCreate and maintain sales brochure layoutsDraw plot plans for all new home startsPrint plans as necessaryRevise plot plans as necessaryPrepare and maintain frame engineering for all active plansPrepare disk for printing companies for all projected starts each week. Including plotting as necessarySet up and maintain data in plot plan software for new communities, phases and homes.Set up and maintain plan data architectural base: including plan rack and plan log

Education and Experience Requirement:High School diploma or equivalentType 25 WPMKnowledge of Microsoft ProgramsExperience and knowledge of Auto CAD are a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 to 50 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
