SimplexGrinnell creates innovative, high quality solutions that meet customer needs into the future. Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Alarm & Detection Installation Technician in our Northern Virginia office. BEGINNING POSTING DATE:    Monday, July 28, 2008ENDING POSTING DATE: Sunday, August 11, 2008 POSITION: Alarm & Detection Installation Technician SALARY RANGE:  $22.00 - $30.00 per hour RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.  Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and program Fire alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call and CCTV Systems.2.  Maintain a customer base or territory at 100% satisfaction rate.3.  Provide detailed feedback to management concerning customer issues.4.  Work effectively with support personnel and electrical contractors.5.  Provide additional support for the Electronic Fixed Price service business.6.  Willing to be part of the on-call rotation and work flexible hours to support Fire Marshall tests as well as our Service Department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1.  Two years experience in the Fire Alarm and Security field or equivalent military technical experience or training.2.  Strong troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electronic test equipment.3.  High School Diploma or equivalent.4.  Clean driving record.5.  Ability to receive Virginia Security License.6.  Hold NICET fire protection certification or agree to work towards certification.7.  Knowledge of other manufacturer’s equipment (i.e. Pyro, Notifier, etc.) a plus.8.  Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40 lbs, ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.9.  Required to be on after hours on-call rotation.10.  Available to work after hours as needed. **Only candidates who possess the above minimum qualifications will be considered.  Not all applicants will receive a response.  Only top candidates will be notified.** If you possess the minimum qualifications and would like to be considered for this position please fax your resume to (703) 996-0922 or mail it to 22712 Commerce Center Court; Suite 114; Dulles, VA 20166; Attn: Danielle Tarbet. These positions are local and do not include relocation. SimplexGrinnell is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
