Wind Energy Construction Project Manager

Based in Chicago, this Project Manager position will be responsible for all aspects of project construction delivery for multiple projects, ensuring that their projects are completed on time and on budget.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 Manage process to move from advance development to the commercial construction stage.Coordinate feasibility studies and late stage project development activities. Establish estimates for BoP, interconnection, logistics cost and provide as inputs for financial modelingResponsibile for construction site infrastructure - roads, foundations, wind tower construction, electric substations and transmission.Identify, develop, and build relationships with contractors and engineering firms and oversees third party activities related to engineering and construction activitiesManage budgeted project expenses, schedule, and projected returnPrepare and present project status reports to managementTravel to project sites required (minimum of  50% travel)

 

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil or EE) or work equivalentRequires familiarity with the full life cycle of power projects and business development Excellent written and oral communications skills with proven track record in successful negotiations with engineering and construction firmsAbility to perform technical, economic feasibility analysis, and financial modelingMust possess a working understanding of cost accounting, budgeting and contract implementationUnderstands electric transmission and distributionSpanish fluency is a plus
