Vice President
We are an innovative environmental/geotechnical drilling company with offices on the west coast. With a high focus on safety and excellent quality, we experiencing tremendous growth and want to add a senior management professional to our team.
The successful candidate will: Work with the President to develop and implement integrated business and market plans for the Company to achieve strategic growth and profitability Communicate strategy and plans to ensure the alignment of personnel and resources to achieve strategic and tactical business objectives Ensure integration of the business plans with company objectives and consistency with overall strategy Lead by demonstrating active hands on presence in all areas of responsibility, coaching and demonstrating good management techniques that encourage achievement of goals for each of our offices Evaluate performance, give feedback, and provide development plan for all direct reports Create a strong sense of teamwork through educating the workforce on competitive pressures, opportunities for growth and celebrating achievements Help resolve conflicts and set priorities Travel regularly between our offices to implement the above The examples of functions listed in this job description are representative, but not necessarily exhaustive, of this position
Experience and skills: Prior market and business management experience including knowledge of: business development, account management, strategic marketing, technical, conceptual, financial aspects. Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Able to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; settle differences with minimum noise; win concessions without damaging relationships; be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties to the negotiations; has a good sense of timing. Strong results orientation with proven track record of success. Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully Constantly and consistently one of the top performers Bottom-line oriented Steadfastly pushes self and others for results. Demonstrated ability to handle a large variety of tasks and information in a fast paced environment where timely decision making from often limited data and research time is critical. Proven ability to resolve complex cross-departmental issues and implement plans through the cooperation of others as well as proven performance working with several functional groups concurrently. Some merger and acquisition experience a plus.
