The Traffic Signal Electronics Technician is responsible for all construction-related duties related to the maintenance and repair of traffic signals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshooting complex electrical equipment to the Lowest Replacement Item (LRI). Performing preventative maintenance on equipment. Working on 170 controllers and 330 series traffic controller cabinets. Training and supervising mechanics, apprentices, groundmen, and helpers. Reading and understanding traffic drawings and configuration packs pertaining to the traffic signal system in Washington, D.C. Creating as-built sketches of the traffic signal system. Working on 120V energized traffic circuits. Determining the appropriate types and sizes of conduits and cables required for a task. Understanding contract specifications. Operating a jack hammer and compressor properly. Driving large vehciles including bucket trucks and pickup trucks and towing equipment such as arrow boards, small trailers and compressors.Required Experience

Requirements:2-5 years of experience as a Traffic Signal Electronics Technician is required. High School degree or GED. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work on M.C. Dean, Inc. projects anywhere in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. Must have a valid driver's license or passport to access job sites. Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work. Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.

Certifications:
The incumbent must obtain the following certifications within one (1) month of hire and maintain the certifications while employed by M.C. Dean, Inc.: Bucket Truck Operator Certification CPR and First Aid Certification Confined Space Training Certification IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification IMSA I Level I Certification Flagger Certification Miss Utility Training CertificationQualified candidates should apply online with resume and salary requirements to:M.C.
