Technical Sales Engineer
Education: A bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering is a must. An undergraduate curriculum with emphasis in structural engineering is a plus.Â
Experience: 3 years of structural design experience either within a consulting firm or related technical sales experience.
I. Position Objectives
A. Provide technical assistance and advice to our customers in the field, meet with structural engineers in your territory, and meet with potential and existing accounts to expand the reach of our product.
B. Coordinate and assist structural engineers in your territory to have our product specified in projects during the design stage. Â
II. Position Responsibilities
A. To fulfill the objectives of the position, you will identify general contractors, commercial framers and other end users in promoting our product. You will coordinate your efforts with other sales staff and work with the corporate PE to identify potential customers and engineering firms to focus on.Â
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist in developing the strategic marketing plan for all prospective and existing accounts.
2. Meet with structural engineering firms for one on one meetings and office seminars.
3. Maintain good working relationships with developers, consulting engineers, general contractors, commercial framers, and related organizations.
4. Develop and maintain an active list of accounts. Communicate frequently with the head office.
5. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, along with excellent general computer skill is essential. Experience with CAD a plus.
