Steel Detailer/Drafter
RopesCourses, Inc. is currently looking to fill a Steel Detailer/Drafter position tohelp with the design and construction of steel frame challenge courses,climbing towers, zip lines and other adventure course products. The applicantmust be very familiar with AutoCAD and have at least 2 years experience insteel detailing. Under the direction of the on staff engineer the drafter’s responsibilitieswill include modeling and detailing steel structures for the fabricationdepartment, creation of permit drawings, preliminary concept drawings,calculating material requirements and installation instructions.

JobQualifications: Self motivated 2 year degree in drafting 2 year steel industry experience Excellent communication skills AutoCAD (3D solid modeling and 2D drafting) Familiarity with part/subassembly/assembly organization Welding practices and procedures knowledge General construction knowledge MS Office applications Database and spreadsheet knowledge is a plus Visual Basic programming knowledge is a plus 3D rendering knowledge is a plus
