STAFF ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTING MANAGER

The headquarters of a privately owned dynamic, entrepreneurial minded, service company in Richmond, VA is currently seeking a Staff Accountant/Accounting Manager to join their growing accounting/finance team.  This position will work in the centralized accounting office in Richmond, VA.

 

Responsibilities include:

·  Perform general ledger account reconciliations.

·  Responsible for complying with the company's financial policies. 

·  Prepare monthly and annual reports on accounts as required.

·  Provide cash management tasks.

·  Provide support functions for AP processing by AP Clerk.

·  Prepare and maintain computerized records on accounts as assigned. 

·  Ensure accounting procedures are in accordance to GAAP and other applicable regulations. 

·  Assist in establishing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

·  Review monthly Accounting reports to reconcile reports to general ledger.

·  Work with field personnel on a daily, monthly and annual basis.

·  Provide support to the Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and other management as necessary.

 

Requirements include:

·  BS in Accounting and 1-3 years of “hands onâ€� accounting experience

·  Eexperience using mid-range accounting package(s)is mandatory; MAS90 preferred

·  Proficiency on or knowledge of using a variety of non-accounting computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word.

·  Must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills

·  Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
