Senior Project /Project Engineer

 

General Position Summary

 

The Senior Project / Project Engineer assists andsupports the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects.  The position works under direct supervision, performsroutine daily activities and gathers and distributes information.  The Senior Project / Project Engineer must bea flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication andclient service skills.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

 

·Setup initial contracts and project information inPMIS

 



·Receive, review, forward and track status ofsubmittals 

 



·Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs

 



·Assist in management of project permit process

 



·Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement

 



·Update construction schedule based on project teaminput, Trade Contractor progress and materials delivery 

 



·Change management systems, including soliciting,receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders 

 



·Compiles reports regarding financial performance ofthe project, including PSR, PFC and CI report 

 



·Assist in preparation of monthly owner project statusreports, as required

 



·Attend and/or leads project meetings, as directed byProject Manager and record meeting minutes

 



·Assist and/or complete project close-out

·Knowledge of Prolog

 



·Knowledge of Suretrak or Primavera

 



·Broad understanding of industry

Education and/or Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management,Engineering or equivalent

 



3 to 7 years of industry experience
