Sr. Project/Construction Manager - Energy - Los Angeles, CA
Senior Project Manager/Construction Manager for a landmark role in Los Angeles, California.DMJM Harris, an AECOM company recognized as a leading Energy Services Company (ESCO), is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Construction Manager to lead/ manage the development, design and construction for a large central plant, energy infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will have 12+ solid years experience in the engineering or the design-build industry of mega-million dollar ($50M+) central plant and / or cogeneration projects for public and private clients.
The candidate must have a strong background in projects that include the engineering, design and construction of large infrastructure projects including central plants (extensive), CHP, HVAC, boilers, chillers and cogeneration units. Experience with public agency clients such as hospitals, universities/schools and correctional facilities are desirable. BS and PE in Engineering are required. Mechanical Engineering, CEM, and LEED are preferred. Knowledge of MS Office, including Project is a must.
Responsibilities include:
· Strong focus on clients, client management; negotiations; maintaining relationships and developing new business;
· Ensure project scope products are delivered, schedule is maintained, and budgets are met;
· Ensure all contractual obligations are met;
· Manage entire process from the development stage to implementation supported by business development, project development, engineering and construction team;
· Develop project schedule with team; oversee progress and approve updates and changes;
· Full responsibility for project financials, including budget tracking, payments and reporting;
· Coordinate and prepare progress and status reports;
· Implement and manage company’s QA/QC plan, ISO9001 compliance;
· Oversee construction activities working closely with construction staff and Contractors;
· Successful management and development of a staff of 10+ employees.
This 4-year, $200M contract will be a landmark project for the most discerning, career-minded individual. As a result of the size, scope and significance of this role, salary is open and DOE. The position will be based out of LA for 4 years and then report to the Solana Beach / Los Angeles Energy office. Per Diem and/or relocation are open.Out of state candidates encouraged to apply.
