We are currently showing a record work backlog, with several major projects on the horizon. JOB PURPOSE: To administer the Tracer EHS Program at the designated project site to maintain a safe and healthful work environment and ensure the security of company property. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Þ Monitor and enforce company and site specific safety and health procedures.Þ Prepare and participate in daily and weekly Safety Meetings.Þ Manage the H.E.A.T. Program.Þ Conduct daily, weekly and quarterly documented inspections of work practices, site conditions and equipment.Þ Provide recommendations for corrective actions for hazards identified.Þ Develop a filing system and maintain all site EHS documents and records.Þ Establish and maintain good relations between Tracer and the client.Þ Manage PPE inventory and distribution.Þ Conduct Safety Training and orientations.Þ Prepare reports for home office and clients.Þ Investigate and report on incidents and near-miss incidents.Þ Provide First Aid and manage emergency care procedures.Þ Attend and participate in client EHS functions.Þ Oversee subcontractor safety performance.Þ Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post.COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Þ Computer literate, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, OutlookÞ Knowledgeable with Federal, State, Local, client and company safety requirement.Þ Development of safety plans and procedures.Þ Thorough knowledge of applicable national consensus standards (i.e., OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, etc.)Þ Knowledge and expertise in:§ Confined Space Entry requirements§ Electrical Protection§ Fall Protection§ Fire Protection§ Hazardous Communication§ Personal Protective Equipment § Respiratory Protection§ ScaffoldingEDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Required: o Minimum two years college education or equivalent combination of technical training and/or industrial related safety experience.o Minimum five years experience as a Safety Coordinator in an industrial environment.o Completed the OSHA 500 course or the Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) Program.o Strong interpersonal skills.o Excellent oral and written skills. COMMENTS: This position is will require the Safety Coordinator to be actively in the field/work area for a minimum of 80-90% of each day. Exposure to outdoor elements is likely.
