Senior Equipment Technician

Performs major (non-routine) service repairs to customer and company owned equipment either in the branch or field location.2. Safely load and unloads equipment for transporting.3. Completes necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts orders and billings and warranty information.4. Ensures all aspects of housekeeping are addressed in the specific work area and that the total department meets designated standards.5. Assists other technicians in advanced trouble shooting and problem resolution.6. May serve as team leader in major assembly/disassembly and repairs.7. Communicates with customers concerning repair and service needs. This communication is frequent and critical.Qualifications1. Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out.2. Able to lift 70 pounds and carry 50 pounds.3. Able to use a 10 pound sledgehammer.4. HS diploma or equivalent.5. Basic computer skills.6. Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and schematics.7. Drive train and diesel/gasoline engines.8. Able to analyze and diagnose as well as execute most repairs on various types of construction equipment.9. Tech school certificate or equivalent, covering hydraulics, electrical, engines and power train.
