Senior Construction Superintendent

My client has additional openings for Project Managers and Project Engineers in California, Virginia, and Washington DC.

 

They are a nationally recognized construction manager At-Risk.  Market sectors include higher education, healthcare, laboratory, research, commercial, and government projects that range from $20 million to $700 million in size.  The projects are both public and private.

 

In need of Senior Superintendent responsible for assisting Senior Project Director/Manager and/or Project Manager on a construction management project.

 

Thirteen years of experience on $40 million to $90 million commercial/ industrial construction projects or multiple projects in a superintendent role.  Candidate must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.  Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.  Strong technical and communication skills are critical.

 

Responsibilities include trade coordination in strict accordance with contract documents; verification of safety compliance with all trades and maintenance of reports; supervision of the actual physical construction of a large project or multiple projects; maintenance of satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc.; monitoring of safety performance of Area and Assistant Superintendent; enforcement of safety and quality control policies; resolution of jurisdictional disputes; direction and day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and their subcontractors when required to ensure they turn out high quality work that meets the approved project schedule.
