Senior Civil Highway Project Engineer - VirginiaWe are seeking a Senior Civil / Highway Project Engineer with a 7 to 10 years of experience. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required. A Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Experience managing state and county projects is required. Candidate must have working knowledge of highway design software - Microstation, GEOPAK and Inroads. Working experience with Virginia DOT standards and processes is preferred. Highway design, local street design, and drainage facilities design. The candidate will need to effectively communicate (written & oral) and understand scope of work requirements. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and is a team player. Usually involves client contact and coordination of numberous stakeholders.Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of design activities of civil highway projects. Initiates the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget.
