DFP is currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Life/Safety Systems Sale Representative in our (Oakland, CA) office located near Lake Merritt.JOB SUMMARY:Systems Sales Representative- Responsible for exceeding sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued customer relationships, expanding the company's current customer base, and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. Service existing client base while generating new business to expand current customer base. Provide timely and accurate response to customers' required proposal and/or bid circumstance. Write and Submit professional proposals.Manage projects as directed or to oversee the project management provided by a DFP Project Manager. Follow up on all sales leads in a timely and effective manner. Promote Diversified Fire Products and the products and services that are offered. Keep management informed by tracking and providing accurate sales information to company management including activity and results reports (weekly) and as requested. Provide accurate and timely submittal of sales orders and job notes to appropriate order processing and technical staff. Make necessary sales presentations to customers and management as requested. Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all product lines and services offered. Consistently work with management to develop a competitive pricing structure.Candidate must be able to successfully complete an employment background screening and drug screening as well as have a clean driving record. * Four-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, marketing, or engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of sales or service of electronics equipment* Have a solid knowledge of fire alarm/life safety systems and related Codes* Must have experience in high-rise smoke control systems and familiarity/certificationwith EST/FCI a plus* NICET Certification - Level II (2) preferred * Candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with Engineers, Contractors and End-Users* Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills are required * Candidates should have experience in the bidding/negotiating process * Requires a moderate to considerable amount of travel to customer and vendor sites * Must have and maintain a valid Drivers License in Good Standing BENEFITS: We provide a generous comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401(k), etc.  APPLY: If you want to take advantage of joining a team where it's "A Great Place to Work", apply confidentially today! Candidate must be able to successfully complete an employment background screening and drug screening as well as maintain various licenses.
