STRUCTURAL BRIDGE ENGINEER Morgantown, West Virginia  The Morgantown, WV Office of DMJM Harris is seeking a Bridge Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and professional license registration is required, Masters Degree is preferred. Successful candidates shall be able to independently perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out structural engineering tasks. Needs to be technically competent in all engineering aspects and needs to have a good knowledge of structural engineering theory, particularly design of bridges, retaining walls, and sign structures. Should have experience assembling calculations, plans, special provisions and cost estimates for PS&E Submissions. Exercises moderate level of judgment on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.  May provide technical guidance to drafters/designers and less experienced engineers.  Recommends appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Will work on engineering assignments involving design of various bridge components using AASHTO and West Virginia DOH.
