Steam System Engineer
You will be responsible for the design and oversight of heat recovery steam generating systems associated with process furnaces in petroleum applications. Duties include: size and prepare requisitions for riser and downcomer piping, steam drum including trim and PSV’s, circulation pumps, piping & valves instrumentation; perform system hydraulic calculations; perform piping component thickness calculations in accordance with the applicable codes; oversee ASME system certification; review vendor quotations; prepare technical bid tabulations; review vendor documents and data for compliance with technical requirements; and assist in preparation of proposals. Requires chemical or mechanical engineering degree; knowledge of ASME I, VIII, B-31.3 and B31.1; familiarity with thermal & hydraulic design of steam generating systems and associated equipment, instrumentation, PSV sizing, etc.
