SENIOR PROJECT SCHEDULER (UTAH)
POSITION -- SENIOR PROJECT SCHEDULER (UTAH) COMPANY BE&K is now a KBR Company with projects varying in size from $10M-$800M. The firm has been providing a wide range of industrial clients with engineering, construction and maintenance services for almost 40 years. LOCATION Position will be located in the Bear Creek City, Utah area which is about 55 miles North of Salt Lake City off of Interstate 15/84. This grassroots tissue mill has a estimated project duration of 24 months. If, you are a ski buff, wild game hunter (e.g., elk, deer, fowl, etc.), serious hiker or mountain biker, or simply like the outdoor lifestyle, then this location will certainly pique your interest for the next two years. REPORTING Position reports functionally to the Chief Scheduler in the Birmingham Corporate Office and operationally to the Project Site General Manager OVERALL ROLE Resident planning & scheduling expert for the overall Master Schedule for both Construction and Subcontractor on an approximate 450,000 work-hour grassroots tissue machine project. Assigns, reviews, audits, challenges and approves all levels of schedules. Develops independent conclusions, defends position and raises red flags when necessary to identify and mitigate scheduling risks for the project. Plans alternate scheduling solutions to satisfy client requirements. Manages all day-to-day scheduling activities of the construction and subcontract operations for the project. Recruits, retains, instructs and guides a staff of 1 - 3 professionals in the proper development of EPC schedules and direct implementation of company scheduling practices and procedures. Responsible for project department budgets, salary administration, performance assessments, training & development, and employee mentoring. KEY EXPERIENCE Requires at least 15 years of solid industrial construction scheduling experience. Must have a minimum of 5 years project site scheduling management experience. Must have experience developing and managing EPC schedules for large industrial, pulp & paper, oil & gas or refinery projects. Must have solid construction experience including assignments in the field. Must have intimate working knowledge of Primavera P3 5.0, 6.0 and 3.1. Prefer project scheduling experience in the Pulp & Paper industry. KEY SKILLS Self-starter with professionally aggressive attitude is a must Solid leadership skills to inspire, motivate and manage a staff Technically strong Good oral and verbal presentation skills Mentoring/coaching capabilities EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors of Science in engineering field preferred Equivalent related experience and training may be substituted
