Regional Mechanical Engineering & Equipment Maintenance Manager
Duties shall include, but not be limited to:

Management of Regional Mechanical Engineering Department:
Management of Gulf and South East US Equipment Department projects. Equipment projects include new build equipment and modifications to existing equipment. The management of these projects shall include the following: Supervise writing of Scope of Work for new equipment including all desired functions, schedule, capacity, environment, and location Supervise designing equipment or procuring the design through 3rd party consultants or naval architects. Design includes: Laying out equipment in detail using AutoCAD. Performing all relevant engineering calculations. Estimating the cost of new equipment for budgeting purposes and cost benefit analysis. Supervise project scheduling Revising the Scope of Work to let out for bid or quote from shipyards, vendors, or contractors. Get quotes and contracts for the fabrication of the new equipment. Assigning personnel to monitor fabrication from inception through completion, including: Cost Reports Updated Progress Schedules Daily reports including narratives and photographs Evaluation of Final Report on project including as-built drawings, actual schedule, actuals costs, and lessons learned. Budgeting of annual budget for improvements to existing equipment and additions to the region’s fleet. Coordination of New Build Equipment and Modifications, including Implementation and Scheduling, with Production and Operations.
Management of Regional Equipment Maintenance Department: Supervision of departmental staff including Port Engineers, and Chief Engineers. Management of the planning and execution of major dry-docking events. Management of major parts and equipment purchasing. Management of Spare Parts including Inventory, Storage and Advance Maintenance. Coordination of Repair Scheduling with Operations and Production. Budgeting of annual budget maintenance of the region’s equipment fleet. Keep a master schedule of all maintenance events.   Â

MS Project
Mechanical Engineering Degree, Naval Architecture Degree, Ocean Engineering Degree with Equipment Focus, or similar degree
Minimum of 10 years experience in dredging or maritime industries in an equipment design, equipment maintenance, or management role Â
This position shall report to the VP of Equipment and to the Regional Manager of the region to which he is assigned. This position will located in the Jacksonville Office located at 4309 Pablo Oaks Court. Some travel is required, such as site visits to the Manson-Houma repair yard or other locations that dredge repairs and modifications are executed.
