Regional Business Manager
Responsible for sales management activities supporting the company business plan in the multi-state region (Mid Atlantic, New England, Great Lakes) and management of dedicated field sales force.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Develop a regional business plan based on the company business plan to achieve sales goals· Achieve growth and revenue objectives· Develop and expand, maintain and improve business relations with distributors· Responsible for improving customer satisfaction; accountable for resolving customer problems· Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and develop District Sales Managers· Fully communicate sales and marketing activities to all levels of the organization· Develop and utilize account plans to help measure goal attainment· Manage operating expense budget for assigned area Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Marketing; Master’s degree preferred· Knowledge of welding and cutting equipment· 10+ years industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience preferred· Ability to travel up to 60%, including overnight travel· High energy level· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Essbase· Lotus Notes knowledge preferredRelationships and Contacts:· All levels of company employees· All levels of distributor personnel from owners to branch executives· All levels of key end users* Thermadyne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
