RISK MANAGER
Our client is currently seeking a Risk Manager to join their professional team. Industrial background preferred.
Accountable for managing risks associated with claims and disputes, contracts, and insurance to maximize profit and to prevent losses.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Management and timely resolution of all claims by or against the company
· Review and resolution of sub-contract issues related to insurance/ indemnity and general sub-contract provisions
· Oversight and management of Company’s insurance coverage (workmen’s comp., general liability, errors and omissions etc.)
· Participate in the negotiation of teaming agreements with owners, contractors & prime sub-contractors
· Pre-qualification of sub-contractors from a risk management perspective
· Labor relations/disputes management
· Internal training of staff in risk management
· Manage the relationship and performance of the company’s legal counsel
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE5 to 7 years business related to insurance, loss prevention etc At least 5 years of this experience should be directly applicable to industrial construction contracting, risk analysis and bonding. Extensive knowledge of loss prevention procedures/techniques, contract law, litigation process, doctrine of negligence, worker’s compensation laws, surety markets, bonds execution procedures and financial analysis required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION
Consists of a base salary, company vehicle, bonus potential plus benefits package.
Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.
