Purchasing Agent for Electrical Contractor

Presently Schetter Electric, Inc. is seeking a talented individual for the position of Purchasing Agent in our Sacramento location.  At Schetter Electric, Inc. a Purchasing Agent is an integral part of our TEAM responsible for the procurement of materials, communicating with the Project Managers and jobsite personnel. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The purchasing Agent is responsible for the following:

 Timely procurement of equipment and materialsPrepare request for quotes for vendorsNegotiate terms and conditionsAffectively communicate with vendors to establish ongoing relationshipsPrepare all purchase orders and any other documents pertaining to the acquiring of equipment and materialsComplete any additional related projects upon supervisor’s request

 

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

 5 years experience in the procurement of construction materials.  Experience working with Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentExperience with Construction Accounting Software is a plus
