GENERAL SUPER POSITION

Shuster Management LLC. is seeking to hire a site super. We are a growing developer/general contractor firm located in both New Jersey and New York. We are currently managing a wide range of commercial and residential construction projects in Long Island City, Bayside, and in Manhattan (for more info go to www.shustermanagement.com). We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team.
We are currently seeking a site super to support our Project Managers and management team with at least 5 years of construction work experience in commercial projects at the finishes stage to assist in our Long Island City, NY site location.

TYPICAL TASKS:
1.     Reads and interprets plans, SKs and Specifications. Inspects work for completeness and compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements; monitors and approves payments to contractors.Â
2.     Provide direction and supervision of all phases of execution;
3.     Ensures personnel and equipment safety is in place;
4.     Determines construction conditions, tools, machinery and materials required on each job;
5.     Maintains daily report of work accomplished. Document any significant events; Â
6.     Coordinates with other agencies regarding construction permits, impact on other utilities, and related issues.
7.     Attends meetings as required.
8.     Schedule Subs.
9. Maintain Quality Control.
10. Supervise & Control the following: Count Personnel on a daily basis, Sign on materials received at the site, in charge of material and tools on site, in charge of safety equipment, machinery, security, and overall cleanliness of site.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret plans, SK’s, and Specifications;
Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise the work on site;
Knowledge of specialized equipment, tools, machinery and materials used in construction sites;
Ability to keep records and prepare reports (see examples below).
Ability to maintain effective relationships with the public and fellow employees;

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years experience working in commercial ground up/ conversions
Experience in the finishes stage of constructionÂ
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
