With our cutting-edge technology, outstanding safety record and history of success, it is no wonder that Fluor is #1 in Fortune magazine's "Engineering, Construction" category.With over $25 billion in booked business and openings on 6 continents, FLUOR is experiencing phenomenal growth and seeking top talent for projects in the US and abroad.Apply now and learn more about an exciting career with FLUOR, one of the largest publicly-owned engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services companies in the world!- Provides engineering expertise and managment oversite for the development and construction of quality transportation projects including preparation of project budgets and schedules. - Responsible for personnel matters, workload management, monitoring consultant service contracts, and establishing optimum engineering practices to serve the clients project delivery efforts.- Major duties include (but not limited to): Plan, prepare, analyze, document, and manage two to three construction contracts valued from $40 to $60 million. - Manage and schedule the work for construction and survey staff on the basis of established Program -- Procedure Manual and Program Execution Plan as approved by the client as well as AASHTO, FHWA, construction administration, engineering, environmental, inspection, surveying methods, standards, and policies. - Coordinate pre-bid and pre-construction meetings with state, FHWA, contractors, utility companies, regulatory agencies, and affected local government agencies. - Direct and assist staff in reviewing and analyzing contractor project schedules, staffing plans, traffic control plans, and other required submittals to ensure they meet contract requirements and restrictions. - Negotiate, analyze, resolve, settle, deny, and/or make recommendations regarding contractor conflicts and claims, considering contact plans, specifications, and estimates, conditions, costs, and time. - Provide environmental compliance to ensure that there is clear alignment between construction methods and each environmental requirements throughout the life of each project.QualificationsThe preferred candidate should have:- BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management. - 10 years of proven progressive experience. - Professional registration is preferred. - Valid driver license and good driving record. - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and/or weekends subject to contractor schedule. - Daytime travel is frequent. - Occasional exposure to heavy traffic or adverse weather conditions.Fluor values the contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
