Project Manager-Ft. Benning
Tetra Tech Facilities Construction (TtFC), a division of Tetra Tech, Inc., is a vertical construction entity devoted to providing sound estimating, scheduling, project and construction management services. We seek a driven, capable Project Mgr. for our Southeast Region business unit. The candidate’s first project assignment will be Ft. Benning, Columbus GA. The successful candidate will manage large, complex building construction projects from initiation of design (design-build) to completion of commissioning and closeout services; shall coordinate and manage multiple trades and project team members to ensure a high level of quality of our constructed products and to ensure our clients’ satisfaction; shall prepare work plans/schedules, assist in developing design-build packages, provide QA/QC oversight (candidate shall possess USACE CQC Certification), ensure a safe and productive work site (candidate shall possess 30-hour OSHA construction safety certification or equivalent coursework), ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects, and lead and mentor our site staff. Must be able to interpret building plans, develop work plans for construction, prepare construction schedules, and lead/forecast/manage multiple trades concurrently. Candidate must possess minimum 10 years prior experience in vertical construction, at least 5 years as a “Project Manager” on projects of $20 million or larger. BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field required. (Registration as a professional engineer/architect will be considered a highly preferred qualification). Candidate shall be capable of performing project management functions with minimum supervision, including the preparation of cost and schedule reports, plans coordinating the work activities of the multiple trades on site, and the presentation of same to Tetra Tech FC management; shall possess a thorough working knowledge of applicable computer systems, software, and functions (including USACE’s RMS system); monitor and evaluate the effects of all project changes, including but not limited to trends, scope changes, and delays, and communicate to Tetra Tech FC’s management any cost and schedule impacts with recommendations for corrective action; maintain continuous records of project and schedule status based upon input provided by the Project Team.
