Project Development Engineer- Energy Services
Pepco Energy Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is a rapidly growing provider of non-regulated energy and energy related services and products in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for a Project Development Engineer to join our team. This position is located in Atlantic City, NJ.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs comprehensive energy and water audits of commercial, institutional, and governmental customers. Identify and developing cost savings opportunities and capital upgrades relating to lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, energy management systems, water consuming equipment and fixtures, building envelope and any others opportunitiesPrepares budgetary cost estimates and technical reports. Assists in all stages of the development process through technical presentations of the proposed projects.Provides technical development assistance to a team of individuals responsible for developing energy related products and services for our customers.Produces calculations to verify savings in performance contracts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.3+ years experience consulting and/or experience in the energy services field. Energy auditing experience including water consumption.Professional registration and/or CEM preferred.Must have an extensive knowledge of energy-efficiency technologies, their application as well as familiarity with the use of standard energy engineering software, measurement and verifications.Knowledge of project cost accounting and estimating requiredRequires experience with design, construction, and AutoCAD. Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Project, Visual DOE, Trace, and Carrier E20.Must hold a valid drivers' license in state of residence and have the ability to travel as required.
