Current Job Opportunity Summary:
The demand for energy efficient and sustainable new homes is growing! Our Residential Conservation Division is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as Program Manager to lead its New Construction Group. CSG currently implements ENERGY STAR® and New Construction programs for multiple utility clients in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire and is the local provider of LEED for Homes in central and eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Program Manager will be responsible for expanding CSG's existing ENERGY STAR Homes, Green Building, and High Performance Buildings work throughout the New England region. • Meet or exceed the energy savings and program participation goals for CSG's utility clients' New Construction Programs in Connecticut, Rhode Island & New Hampshire and provide market based services in conjunction with the Massachusetts utilities sponsored program
• Establish and maintain relationships with key utility clients and influencers in the residential construction market including state & local agencies (DHCD, CDCs, etc), architects, developers, and the real estate industry
• Develop marketing and operational strategies to integrate and expand CSG's portfolio of offerings promoting energy efficient and sustainable construction practices, including ENERGY STAR Homes, Earth Advantage, and LEED for Homes to both the market rate and low income sectors
• Determine staffing requirements, oversee the interviewing, hiring and training processes of new employees to ensure all program goals are met
• Coordinate operations between sales & outreach, modelers, field technicians, energy and green raters, and consultants to provide seamless integrated services to all segments of the residential new construction market
• Manage budgets and resources to maximize efficiencies and profitability
• Degree in business, marketing, engineering or a comparable combination of education
and experience
• 5-7 years experience within the energy conservation industry or related field preferably with experience with utility sponsored new construction and/or energy efficiency programs
• Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and market influencers in both the market rate and low income sectors of the residential new construction industry
• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of both specialty and production oriented programs including client interaction, maintaining program budgets, and overseeing all aspects of program implementation
• Excellent analytical, writing, organizational, reporting, interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent and innovative management skills with ability to drive programs and motivate staff
• Proficient computer skill including Microsoft Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with energy use modeling software a plus
• Knowledge of the methods and benefits associated with energy efficient and sustainable design & construction
• Proven ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Local travel required
Salary: Commensurate with experience
